In this paper, we have reconstructed the history of changes in dust concentration and dust deposition fluxes in Dasuopu ice core in the mid-Himalayas over the past 500 years. The results of spectral analysis show that both of them have significant changes of 12.3 years, 9.8 years, 7.4 years, 6.1 years and 5.3 years cycle. There is no correlation between the dust content and the net accumulation in the ice core, indicating that the dust may mainly come from the far source area in the upwind direction. Based on the backward trajectory method and the existing aerosol research results in the area, it is considered that the main source areas of dust material in the ice core may be West, South Asia and even North Africa. The increase of dust deposition flux in Dassod ice core in the past 500 years reflects the aggravating trend of drought in its source area.
