儿童急性扁桃体炎为腭扁桃体的急性非特异性炎症,往往伴有轻重程度不等的急性咽炎,是一种极为常见的咽部疾病。我院地处珠江三角洲腹地,属亚热带和海洋性气候,气温和湿度变化大,在这里,本病一年四季均多见。我科于1999年11月至2001年11月应用复方西瓜霜（广西桂林三金药业集团公司生产）治疗儿童急性扁桃体炎,获得良好疗效,总结如下。
