人参果起源于南美洲安第斯山山脉,它是一种多年生草本茄科作物,在我省如果利用冬暖大棚越冬或者根系采用麦秆草或马粪覆盖越冬,生长期可达7~8年。人参果营养价值高,它含有人体所需的18种微量元素和多种氨基酸,尤其钙和硒的含量极高,其中钙的含量比西红柿高114倍,如果经常食用,对生长期的儿童和老年人补钙非常有益;硒是一种抗癌物质,人参果中硒的含量是其它各类水果、蔬菜所无法相比的。 近两年来,我们在人参果栽培技术方面做了大量工作,现总结如下。
