Japanese media said Japan’s nuclear energy industry is at an unprecedented crossroads. Affected by the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, no new nuclear power equipment was operating in Japan for more than eight years and exports to overseas continued to stagnate. Japan has a lot of nuclear reactor manufacturers as well as special steel suppliers and other key components, however, the technology handed down from generation to generation is at risk of being cut off. The continuation of the economic rebirth of the nuclear power station is a yellow light. Japan’s Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported on April 9 that in Omachi, Aomori Prefecture, a huge building with the shape of a kamaboko-shaped cover stands at the Otsuchi Nuclear Power Plant under construction by Power Development Corporation. Inside the building is the nuclear reactor as the core equipment of a nuclear power plant
