2000年5月,陕西省考古研究院在西安市北郊发掘了一座北周时期的粟特人安伽墓①;2003年6月和2004年4月,西安市文物保护考古所在这一范围内又先后发掘了同属于北周时期的粟特人史君墓②与康业墓③;2005年9月,西安市北郊南康村村民在基建工程中,意外地发现了一座北周时期的罽宾国(kasmira,古西域国名,其都城在南北朝时期记载为“善见城”)婆罗门后裔李诞墓④(图一),西安市文物保护考古所随即进行了发掘清理。
