1996年1月1日,韩国数据通信股份公司(DACOM)正式开放了公众长途电话业务。从而进入了迄今由韩国电信(KT)垄断的长途电话市场。 1982年3月,韩国政府设立DACOM,以便为公众提供数据通信业务,同年9月开放了专线业务。1990年12月,作为KT的竞争对手,DACOM获得了国际通信业务的运营许可证,1年后正式开放国际电话业务,力争达到26%的市场占有率。
January 1, 1996, South Korea’s data communications company (DACOM) officially opened up the public long-distance telephone service. Thus entering the long-distance telephone market monopolized by KT to date. March 1982, the South Korean government set up DACOM, in order to provide the public with data communications business, the same year in September opened the private line business. In December 1990, as a competitor of KT, DACOM obtained the operation license of the international communication business and officially opened the international telephone service one year later in an effort to reach a market share of 26%.
