This article describes the digital compensator for radar transmitter instability in the Digital Moving Target Display (MTI) system. The outputs of the I and Q coherent phase detectors are continuously monitored to observe instabilities in phase, amplitude and timing, and arithmetically calibration signals are generated to the digitized received signal to compensate for these instabilities.
