茶树是喜温湿、忌寒干作物,在我国大部分茶区,每年冬季都要受到寒潮的侵袭,在寒潮袭击时,常伴有大风、雨雪或冰冻天气出现,气温明显下降。特别是高山地区,有时最低气温可降至-5℃以下,使茶树遭受冻害。为了提高茶树的防冻抗寒能力,确保茶树安全越冬,必须及时抓好茶园的秋季管理。茶园秋季管理工作,一般可接排在秋茶生产结束后进行,但高山茶区由于寒潮来得较早,管理工作应提前进行。茶园秋季管理,主要有以下几项工作:
