Modern archaeological excavations in the Banten area began in the 1970s, and the excavation results were published one after another. Researchers from Indonesia, France, Japan and other countries conducted research and studies on the ruins and unearthed artifacts. In recent years, the National University of Singapore Museum has received a batch of tiles from the Lower Banten region as an opportunity to explore the historical background and excavations of the Banten site on the basis of the existing research results. In particular, The study on Chinese ceramics unearthed in Banten area will help us clarify the local overseas trade during the colonial era, especially the development of porcelain trade.
