It has been 20 years since the Cold War ended and it is of crucial importance to bridge the gap between the history of Eastern and Western Europe. Some of the turning points have had an impact on the method of imagining and remembering history, but the relationship between the staging of history and the staging of history is not unilateral. The historical context shapes the direction of history. Social sciences have a multitude of ways and questions to create paradigms that assume the consensus within the academic world is not operational. The reorientation of history has a lot to do with the critique of contemporary Western culture. 1990 was a landmark turning point, after much lack of relative inter-ethnic content had been introduced. Most of these historical books are still centered on the West, and only recently have there been a global approach to history.
