Xinyu 4 is a proven early maize cultivar successfully cultivated by Gao Zhiyun of Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The cultivated area of 14,000 mu has been planted in high altitude, arid and cool areas in Xinjiang, Gansu and Qinghai provinces, with an average yield of 494 kg per mu harvest.
