Founded on December 30th, 2008, Heilongjiang Publishing Group is a large-scale group of publishing culture industry approved by General Administration of Press and Publication of the People’s Republic of China and Heilongjiang Provincial Government and integrally transformed from institution into enterprise by the formal Heilongjiang Provincial Press & Publication Group. There are 120 branches, including 7 book publishing houses, 7 newspaper & magazine offices, 1 news website, 1 printing group and 1 publish group, Xinhua Bookstores at three-level of provinces, cities and prefectures, the import and export trade companies and training institutions. The editing and publishing for books, newspapers and periodicals has been taken initial shape, focusing on printing, issue and the related material supply, supported with foreign trade and scientific research, in addition, the complete press and publication system has been gradually expanded through the network and other cultural services. The annual publication of books is more than 3,000, which has achieved certain publishing characteristics and advantages in folklore studies, research on frontier history, infant enlightenment read, artistic technique for college entrance examination, life & health care, building home decoration, Russian, Korean dictionaries as well as textbooks.
The process of globalization for Heilong Jiang Publishing Group has been vigorously enhanced by structural reform to achieve the needs of expanding international development, speeding up the strength and range in exchange of cultural products, overseas investment to run publishing house, the import and export of copyright. In recent years, the quality of group export-oriented books has been improved, with the ceaselessly spreading in real export; furthermore, the books related to building home decoration have been set up the brand in India.
