“戏剧是人学”是姚一苇戏剧创作的基本立场。他致力于刻画个体独特的灵魂,批判扭曲、丑陋、虚伪的人性,建构健康、优美、自然的人性,呼唤新型的国民素质。在丰富人性主题的同时大胆革新形式,创造崭新的“中国现代戏剧”范式,这种变革反映和标志着台湾社会现代人文精神的张扬。强烈的现代意识、浓郁的民族精神及宏大的世界视野,使他的作品超越时代和地域,通向过去、现在与未来,成为台湾现代戏剧史上划时代的里程碑。在台湾戏剧现代化的进程中,姚一苇及其戏剧不仅具有重要的戏剧史意义,而且具有重要的思想史意义。
Drama is a Humanity is the basic position of Yao Yiwei ’s dramatic creation. He devoted himself to portraying the unique souls of individuals, criticizing distorted, ugly and hypocritical human nature, building a healthy, beautiful and natural humanity and calling for a new national quality. While enriching the theme of humanity, it boldly innovated the form and created a brand new “modern Chinese drama” paradigm, which reflects and marks the publicity of the modern humanistic spirit in Taiwan society. The strong sense of modernity, strong national spirit and ambitious world vision make his works transcend the times and regions and lead to the past, the present and the future as an epoch-making milestone in the history of Taiwan’s modern drama. In the process of Taiwan’s drama modernization, Yao Yiwei and his plays not only have important historical significance, but also have important historical significance.
