南宋心学家杨简把道德伦理赋予人之本心,他以“毋意”即不起意、不动乎意为基础构筑其文学思想:在内容上,文学作品是本心之所发;在表现上,文学作品应以质素为本;在风格上,文学作品应当庄敬中正。杨简把文学与人心直接联系起来,赋予文学庄严的使命。但他把本心善性与文学技巧绝对对立起来,也体现出心学家对文学所持有的偏见。 Yang Jian, a scholar at the Southern Song Dynasty, gave morality and ethics to the heart of human beings.
