The west coast of Bohai Bay is a typical muddy coastal zone in China. Relative to bedrock and gravel coasts, muddy (and silty) coastal zones are more sensitive to changes in the geological environment and more complete in preservation of change records. Therefore, the argillaceous coastal zone has always been a highly studied geologist. In recent years, with the increasing emphasis on “global change ”, high-resolution geological records, land-sea changes, history of sea surface movements and high-precision dating of the international argillaceous coastal zone geosciences have made great strides
