The surface of boron carbide particles was modified by chemical vapor deposition. X-ray diffraction confirmed the formation of a thin film of a mixture of chromium carbide and chromium boride on the surface of the boron carbide particles. Ni-W-Co-B4C (CVD) surface composites were prepared by electrodeposition. The results of wear test showed that the surface modification of B4C particles achieved good results. The B4C (CVD)
