对于中国市场来说,福特姗姗来迟,不过它正通过新的车型、厂房还有态度来迎头赶上福特汽车公司的萧达伟(David Schoch)有一项很艰巨的任务:在世界最大的汽车市场追赶竞争对手。2011年11月1日,福特汽车公司任命David Schoch为福特汽车(中国)有限公司董事长兼首席执行官。当萧达伟(David Schoch)13年前来到中国时,中国政府正在各主要城市建立八车道高速公路,但是街上大多其实还是自行车和行人。那一年,中国人每年购车少于200万辆,只有美国市场1440万辆的一个零头。
For the Chinese market, Ford is late, but it is catching up with Ford Motor Company’s David Schoch with new models, factory attitudes and a daunting task: to catch up with the competition in the world’s largest car market opponent. On November 1, 2011, Ford Motor Company appointed David Schoch as chairman and chief executive officer of Ford Motor Company (China) Limited. When David Schoch arrived in China 13 years ago, the Chinese government is building eight-lane highways in major cities, but most of the streets are still bicycles and pedestrians. That year, the Chinese car each year less than 2 million vehicles, only 14.4 million in the United States a fraction of the market.
