美国劳工部职业安全卫生管理局(以下简称 OSHA)的工作目标是通过与雇主和工人一起努力,营造更好的工作环境,确保全美工人的安全和健康。OSHA 自1971年成立以来,因工死亡人数下降了60%以上,职业伤害和职业病发病率下降了40%。与此同时,美国的就业人数翻了一番,企业从开始的350万个增加到710万个,就业人数从5600万增加到11500万。
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) aims to work together with employers and workers to create a better working environment and ensure the safety and health of workers throughout the United States. Since its establishment in 1971, OSHA has reduced the number of work-related deaths by more than 60% and has reduced the incidence of occupational injuries and occupational diseases by 40%. In the meantime, employment in the United States doubled, the number of businesses increased from 3.5 million in the beginning to 7.1 million and the number of employed people increased from 56 million to 115 million.
