This paper examines the process of Japanese learners’ acquisition of Putonghua Putonghua zh, ch, sh in different Chinese levels. The results show that there are systematic phonological variations in Japanese zh, ch, and sh when they acquire mandarin, and the variation is affected to some extent by the linguistic context and contextual context. There is a certain relationship between the initial consonants and the subsequent vowels, followed by the vowel / i / which has a negative effect on the acquisition. ch is difficult to learn, followed by vowels / i /, / u / is not conducive to learners to send sounds. In addition, there are also free variations in the voice variation of Japanese learners’ curly initials. There are different ways and degrees of free variants of curly initials in different acquisition stages.
