在1987—1988年第十四轮全国黄河流域棉花区域试验中,8个参试品种,我省的石711和冀182两个品系皮棉产量均较高,1989年入选参加生产鉴定,是两个较有希望的新品系。一、石711:石家庄地区农科所以[邢687×(晋68-389×辽632-125)F_4]选育而成。该品系株型紧凑,株高92.8厘米,生育期143天。叶片较小,铃较小、近圆形,铃壳薄、单铃重50克,衣分40.5％。出苗整齐,前期发育快,现蕾早,中后期生长稳健,结铃性强,吐絮畅。强力3.99克,细度为5463米/克,断裂长度21.8千米,成熟系数1.73,光电长度28.82
