20世纪20年代前后是中国现代出版产业发展史上的黄金时代,激烈的竞争活动是推动产业整体前行的一个内在动力源泉,这在当时出版界的冠、亚军——商务与中华——的产业关系上表现得尤为明显。1917年中华书局“民六危机”是考察两者竞争关系的一个绝好视角。此次危机源于中华与商务的过度竞争,在危机处理中双方又进行了复杂的合并谈判,但最后无果而终。通过对“民六危机”成因及应对过程的梳理,既微观呈现出中华与商务两大出版企业竞争加合作的产业关系图景,又从中透见中国现代民族出版业成长史上的诸多普遍性发展规律,如出版企业的管理多元化、内容创新、如何实现文化担当的价值属性等等。
Before and after the 1920s was the golden age in the history of the development of modern publishing industry in China. The fierce competitive activity was an internal source of motivation to promote the industry as a whole. Through the combing of the causes of “Six-Crisis of Peoples” and the process of coping with them, it not only shows the industrial relations between competition and cooperation between China and the two major publishers, but also reveals the universality of the growth of Chinese modern publishing industry The law of development, such as diversified management of publishing companies, content innovation, how to realize the value of cultural properties and so on.
