本文简述了UOP公司梅洛克斯工艺的推出，比较了微碱性脱硫工艺与最新无碱性梅洛克斯工艺并介绍了前者所用的设备适于后者的简易改造方法。后者的最大特点是通过新开发的高活性催化剂和新研制的添加剂，在汽油及煤油脱硫工艺中消除废碱，经济效益亦可观。它是划时代高水平的炼油技术，解决了炼油环保的难题，为人类健康做出了贡献。
This article outlines the introduction of the Meropes process from UOP, compares the slightly alkaline desulfurization process with the latest non-alkaline Merlot process and introduces a simple retrofit method for the former to adapt the latter to the latter. The latter is characterized by the newly developed highly active catalyst and the newly developed additives in the gasoline and kerosene desulfurization process to eliminate waste alkali, economic benefits are considerable. It is an epoch-making high-level oil refining technology that has solved the problem of oil refining and environmental protection and contributed to human health.
