Objective: To investigate the effects of age, height and body mass index (BMI) on the total body and the bone mineral density of various parts of children aged 3 ~ 10 years old. Methods: A total of 100 children undergoing physical examination in our hospital from January 2015 to June 2015 were divided into two groups according to their age: the lower age group (3-6 years old, 50 cases) and the older age group (7-10 years old, 50 cases). Compare the BMD of the whole body and each part in the low age group and the high age group, and the whole body and the BMD of each part in different height children. Results: There was significant difference in BMD between the lower body and the upper body in all groups (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in BMD between the whole body and each part of children with different height and BMI in low age group or high age group P> 0.05). Conclusion: This study suggests that the body and various parts of the bone mineral density is closely related with age, and height and body mass index no significant correlation.
