According to Japanese history, the modern era is the era in which the status of social strata and the changes in interpersonal relations are the most intense. Japan entered the modern era after the Meiji Restoration. The Meiji government canceled the feudal class system of the peasants and peasants and industry and commerce and the idea of “equality between the four peoples” was widely spread in Japanese society. However, careful study shows that the Meiji society is still not a “Meiji” society. The bureaucrats and the big bourgeoisie collude with each other. The former aristocrats enjoyed great power and worshipers worshiped money. Changes in the status of the social class to which people belong will inevitably have a significant impact on the language of the people at that time, and certainly the notion of personal pronouns is no exception. Of course, this effect will also appear in the Meiji period art works. Therefore, examining the use of pronouns by Japanese people from the literary and artistic works at that time is of great significance for studying the social conditions in Japan in modern times.
