Her black hair, a rosy face, almond eyes filled with the light of wisdom. Her solemn and generous, simple and natural, approachable temperament, deeply touched the audience. She is the first Chinese-style Chinese woman ever to broadcast news to the U.S. on television. In 1974, she was named one of the “Top Ten Outstanding Women in the United States” and was named the TV presenter of one of the “Three Chinese Golden Flowers” on American television. In 1990 she was named “American News & World Report” by the United States One of the “Most Outstanding People,” “The Outstanding Feature News Presenter of 1990.”
