任何组织要保持旺盛生命力,必然包括内部运行系统和外部交换系统这两个部分。胡献忠博士在其《社会变革中的共青团》一书中,将党-共青团-青年的变量关系作为外部交换系统的机制,将共青团作为内部结构,通过对历史和现实的考察,指出,社会环境变化导致了党的任务和青年群体的变化,由此导致共青团发生变化。同时,社会变迁对共青团组织的影响主要是通过对共青团的时代使命、组织形态、意识形态、服务角色、维权空间、干部成长等6个要素而发挥作用的。当然,在过去形成的机制和规律,要能够创造性地在新的历史条件下得以有效运用,还需要共青团实务工作者和理论工作者的共同努力。从整体来看,共青团的发展之所以能够适应时代发展和社会变革,其原因在于共青团内在地存在着保证自我创新和适应环境的机制。

The reason for this is that the CYL has inherent mechanisms for guaranteeing self-innovation and adapting to the environment.
