The aerodynamic deformation of aircraft structures due to atmospheric disturbances not only detracts from the normal behavior of the aircraft and sometimes catastrophic accidents. This article introduces the NASA Langley Research Center in the “Aeroelastic Response Control” concept of research and innovation course. The center is recognized as the world leader in the field of active control of aeroelasticity.
