AIDS是由于传播HTLV-Ⅲ/LAV引起的。可以通过性交、血液和血制品、或胎盘传播。非洲一些国家患AIDS病的男女人数基本相等。HTLV-Ⅲ/LAV的传播似乎与卖淫和性交的次数有关。在美国和欧洲,异性传播者很少被证实。尽管男传女已被证实,但女性传染男性者尚不清楚。从目前流行病学研究来看,34％的男性AIDS病人,并无肯定的妓女接触史。
AIDS is caused by the transmission of HTLV-III / LAV. Can be transmitted through sexual intercourse, blood and blood products, or placenta. In some African countries, the number of men and women suffering from AIDS is basically equal. The spread of HTLV-III / LAV appears to be related to the number of prostitution and sexual intercourse. In the United States and Europe, heterosexuals are rarely confirmed. Although male transmission has been confirmed, it is unclear whether female transmission occurs in men. From the current epidemiological study, 34% of male AIDS patients, there is no definite contact history of prostitutes.
