This paper introduces a backfill site in Hainan Province, and uses GPR technology to conduct rapid exploration. The specific location, burial depth and distribution range of block stone in the fill layer are ascertained, which provides a reliable basis for timely adjustment of the design scheme of foundation treatment in accordance with. The application examples show that using GPR technology can accurately and effectively distinguish the block stone obstacles in the soil layer, GPR is a feasible method to solve the engineering geological problems in a large area.
