Japan is the fourth country to launch artificial satellites after the former Soviet Union, the United States, and France. For more than 30 years, Japan has increased its investment in launching rockets, applied satellites, deep space exploration and other aerospace fields. It has invested billions of dollars each year. Its technological development shows a high starting point, many types of satellites, extensive research fields, and scientific and technological achievements.
