如果油缸的换向运动能自动控制,那么对于油缸的一些应用便能被简化。这一点只要在活塞上装上一个带有弹性装置的阀便可以做到(见附图)。在起始位置时碟形阀被压在一个打开的位置。这时候介质油由入口处流入A室并且经由已打开了的碟形阀流入B室,于是差动式活塞便慢慢地向右移动,直到碟形阀被右挡销(制动器)压住为止。由于在A室与B室之间形成了压力差,于是碟形阀被关闭,所以活塞便向左运动,这时候活塞的运动速度便由出口处的节流阀来调整。这样一直要到碟形阀的阀杆撞
