通过对体育院校图书馆与北京地区高校图书馆信息服务工作的基础条件：年购书经费、馆藏文献、现代化设备、人员素质等及信息服务的方式、方法、内容、形式、范围等方面的比较研究，归纳出体育院校图书馆信息服务工作中存在的主要问题，根据体育院校图书馆的具体情况和选择信息服务模式的依据，提出了体育院校图书馆信息服务的参考模式。
