“Weeds are singing” is Doris Lessing’s fame, describes the tragedy of the heroine Mary story. The novel is full of cultural and historical stigma of colonialism and racial discrimination. Combined with the discussion of “collective memory” by the French social scientist Haberwah, this article further combs and interprets “Weeds in Singing” from the perspective of memory theory.
