水葫芦又名凤眼莲,是多年生长的草本水生植物。水葫芦对水域适应性和耐寒力都比较强,一般保持5～10℃以上就能安全越冬,气温上升到13℃以上开始生长。25℃以上生长较快,30～35℃时生长最快。水葫芦是一种高产营养价值较高的青饲料,不但可喂鱼,还可喂禽畜,而且还能起到净化水质作用。我场自1990年5月份购进2000元水葫芦种,又购1500元毛竹,以及1000元铁丝、绳,共化成本4500元,放养而积从小到大,到六月中旬达70亩,每亩成本为64.28元,从六月下旬开始天天供给80亩以草食性鱼类
