晚清国产军用舰船及其作战效能甲午战争前,福建舰队20艘军舰中有15艘为福州船政局制造;南洋舰队23艘军舰中有14艘为福州船政局和江南制造局制造;广东舰队25艘军舰中有9艘为福州船政局制造,所配浅水轮多为广东机器局制造;主要靠外购舰船建立起来的北洋舰队28艘舰艇中只有6艘是中国自己造的,其中千吨以上的10艘主要作战军舰中,只有1艘是中国自己制造的,其余都是从国外进口的。
Before the Sino-Japanese military ships and their operational effectiveness in the late Qing Dynasty, 15 of the 20 warships of the Fujian Fleet were manufactured by the Fuzhou Ship Bureau; 14 of the 23 warships of the Nanyang Fleet were manufactured by the Fuzhou Shipping Bureau and the Jiangnan Bureau of Manufacturing; and the Guangdong Fleet Nine of the 25 warships were manufactured by the Fuzhou Shipping Bureau with shallow water tankers mostly made by the Guangdong Machinery Bureau. Only 6 of the 28 vessels of the Northern Fleet, which were established mainly by outsourcing ships, were made by China itself, of which 1,000 Of the 10 major warships above tonne, only one is made by China itself and the rest are imported from abroad.
