The paper presents several uses of the Focused Beam Reflectometry (FBRM), a tool for measuring flocculation. It measures the reaction between the wet-end aid and the different slurry components. For example, the floc properties (floc size, strength, etc.) caused by polymer dosage and flocculation of the polymer at the optimum flocculation effect. This experiment examined the entire process of flocculation under different machine operating conditions and allowed us to determine the mechanism of flocculation. Focused Beam Reflectometry The FBRM method provides a real-time, on-line monitoring of the evolution of flocculation and the effect of flocculants under the influence of shear forces. Studies of the evolution of the coagulation state include the deflocculation and the heavy flocculation processes in the same sample. At the same time as we did this study, we can also see the problem of the accumulation of pollutants accompanying the increase of recycling of waste paper and the deepening of closed production. In addition, the FBRM, a focused beam reflectance measurement, was also used to determine the agglomeration of non-dissolved and colloidal materials and the effect of agglomeration of non-dissolved and colloidal materials on the amount of polymer used in a given formulation was investigated.
