广美毕业那年,曹新林曾以《湖南农民》交卷,不但封存了他的湖广岁月,而且封存了他的南方印象,此后,对于他跨长江而至黄河选择北方农民作为他画中形象一生的根据地的做法,坊间有过种种猜想,大抵一致的说法是他深受当时《红旗谱》中农民形象塑造的影响,或者更准确的说,他深为英雄而丰富的中国农民的品格德行所吸引。这种灵魂的感召是每位真正的艺术家一生都至少要经历一次的。“这一次”之于曹新林,其结果是,水土大换。
That year, when Guangxi Guangmei graduated, Cao Xinlin wrote a book titled “Hunan Peasants.” He not only sealed up his years of Huguangshan and sealed his southern impression. Since then, he has chosen North Peasants as his lifelong image in his paintings across the Yangtze River and the Yellow River. According to the practice of the place, there were all kinds of conjectures. The general consensus was that he was deeply influenced by the peasant image in the “red flag” of the time, or more accurately, his moral character as a hero and rich Chinese peasant . This soul’s calling is that every real artist has to go through life at least once. “This time ” in Cao Xinlin, the result is, big change of soil and water.
