Objective To understand the rules and characteristics of adverse drug reaction (ADR) in our hospital and provide a scientific basis for clinical safety and rational drug use. Methods A total of 237 ADR cases were collected from all departments of our hospital from July 2014 to June 2015 to the National Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Center. The use of Excel spreadsheet, according to the patient’s gender, age, route of administration, drug dosage forms, drug categories involved, ADR site and clinical manifestations were statistically analyzed. Results Among the 237 ADRs, there were more females than males. The routes of administration induced the most ADRs. Antibiotics caused the most ADRs. The clinical manifestations were those with the most skin and accessory lesions. The patients with severe ADRs had 4 cases. Conclusion Strengthening the monitoring of ADR is conducive to promoting rational drug use in clinical practice and ensuring the safety of public use of drugs.
