This article discusses the neglected aspects of the Pierce gun theory, which have to be considered in high flux-guns. This effect changes the linear boundary of the electron beam. The space charge potential can be simply determined by the cell. For this purpose, the anode is cylindrical and has an extreme head, in addition to a Wehnelt electrode, with an additional electrode of the same potential positioned near the anode hole. Simple electrode form and the most convenient location gives a wide range of design sizes. Due to the introduction of the correction, the design range can be extended to high flow conductivity. The magnitude of the current leaving the presumed boundary of the electron beam due to the electron's thermal velocity was also determined.
