The research status of digital inverter with arc welding at home and abroad is introduced. The typical inverter circuit model and soft switch technology are discussed. The application of power switching device IGBT in inverter and the development of digital signal processing (DSP) are summarized. The function of arc welding power supply control system is analyzed. The importance of digital arc welding inverter to meet the requirement of high quality welding is analyzed. Several problems to be solved after digital arc welding inverter are summarized.
