《赛姆勒先生的行星》是索尔.贝娄著名的成长小说,它刻画了大屠杀幸存者波兰犹太人赛姆勒先生人生的三个阶段及其艰难的成长历程。本文以引路人视角为切入点,首先考察小说中赛姆勒先生遭遇的困惑,以及赛姆勒先生的引路人格鲁纳大夫如何发挥他作为“航标”的外在功效。在此基础上,结合文内研究和文外解读,深入挖掘“航标”蕴含的深刻的内在功效。从引路人视角研究这部小说有助于我们透视贝娄的宗教观、政治观及文学创作观,也是我们了解20世纪60年代美国社会的一把钥匙。
Mr. Seymour’s Planet is a well-known novel by Sol Bellow, which depicts the three stages of the life and difficult development of the Polish Jewish citizen, the survivor of the Holocaust. This article starts from the point of view of the introducer, first examines the confusion Encountered by Mr. Thamel in the novel, and how Mr. Thameller’s guide Dr. Gruner played his external function as a “beacon”. On this basis, combined with the study of the text and the interpretation outside the text, digging deep intrinsic function contained in the “beacon”. Studying this novel from a guider perspective helps us to see Bellow’s view of religion, politics and literature, as well as a key to understanding American society in the 1960s.
