In some of Fang’s novels, under the pressure of the double dilemma of family material and spirituality, female images often challenge the established system of patriarchal discourse in words and even self-esteem. However, these female images did not acquire their own discourse power in the family after the “challenge.” Instead, their sense of “challenging” sexual practice was self-dissolving both physically and mentally, and by itself In the struggles and perplexities of body and mind, they gradually fall into the predicament of ontology of individual life and the difficulties of the social moral judgment system. One of the main internal motivations behind this feminine self-infiltration phenomenon is the lack of dialogue in the context of the textual narrative and social discourse of Fang Fang’s novels.
