The effect of low dose γ-rays on the generational pupation rate, pupa deformity rate, virus rate, emergence rate of adults and adult deformity rate from the present generation to the generation of F6 was studied. The results showed that the pupation rate and adult eclosion rate of H. armigera decreased after irradiation, the rate of pupal deformity, larval virus rate and adult deformity rate increased. The greater the radiation dose, the more obvious the effect was. Among them, the greatest impact on the F1 generation, future generations have a gradual recovery trend. The effects of 30 Gy and 20 Gy treatments on the susceptibility of cotton bollworm to cotton bollworm were lower than that of the other two treatments, Each physiological trait has a lower impact than the other two treatments.
