长期以来,我国英语教学倾向于以结构主义理论为基础的传统教学法进行教学,在教学时强调了语言内部的结构认知,抛弃了语言与外部环境的联系,同时也忽视了文化对于语言本身及语言教学的重要影响。而近几十年教学界开始提倡交际法教学,强调语言的社会交际功能和使用功能。因而,跨文化教育在英语教学中的应用逐步提上日程,与此同时,一系列新问题诞生。究竟跨文化教育在英语专业教学中意义何在?怎样才能较好地将跨文化教育与英语教学有机结合,发挥其重要作用?本文就此进行了分析探讨,以推广跨文化教育的实践意义。
