On the meningioma angiogenesis in recent years, the incidence of meningioma and treatment of one of the hot spots, especially for the early occurrence of the tumor has an important impact. Hypoxia inducible factor-1 (HIF-1α) is a major transcription factor that regulates hypoxia and plays a central role in tumor angiogenesis. Its expression in meningioma is significantly increased and is closely related to the malignant progress of meningioma. Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) is a rapid early response factor induced by hypoxia stimulation. It can also regulate tumor angiogenesis in some ways, Malignant tumor also has certain relevance. This article focuses on the role of these two factors in meningioma neovascularization and the current status of the interaction between two factors.
