The study of silver grain is of great significance both for the toughening of brittle plastic and for the general fracture of plastic or the environmental stress cracking mechanism. Therefore, schistose phenomenon has been an attractive research topic in polymer physics ever since O. K. Spurr tested the tensile stress-induced streaks of some amorphous thermoplastics by optical and electron microscopy techniques.
