In order to establish a public communications network, the Federal Office of the Federal Republic of Germany has firmly pursued a series of new development plans in West Berlin, with special emphasis on the development of optical communication technologies. In the recent “Berlin 4” program, all companies participating in the program are trying to technically solve the transmission of 140Mb / s signal or 565Mb / s signal on single-mode fiber.
