铁营养缺乏症是最常见的营养缺乏症之一,缺铁性贫血是最多见的血液病,发展中国家患病率高达30-90%,发达国家为10-30%,我国7岁以下小孩为20-70%,尤以6月至3岁婴儿和青春发育期的青少年患病率高。由于机体内很多酶含有铁,另不少酶本身虽不含铁,但要有铁存在才有活性,故缺铁机体很多酶活性降低,引起多种代谢改变,导致多个器官(系统)的功能紊乱,如神经、消化、肌肉、免疫和内分泌系统均有不同程度的改变。可见缺铁不但患病率很高,而且对人类健康危害大,应大力研究,积极防治。近年大量研究证明缺铁小儿有行为异常,对外界反应差,易怒、不安、注意力不集中,
