有关蒙元时期宁夏平原的人口,目前学界有不同的推断。在至元初年外出避乱还乡的民之归者便达四五万户,此后还有大量的移民进入。除了逃亡户返乡和移民外,该地还有大量的驻军。笔者依据相关文献推算,蒙元时期宁夏平原的人口数量当在6万左右。居民构成主要有屯军、移民、放良人员、少数民族居民等。
The Mongolian Yuan Ningxia Plain population, the current academic community have different inferences. In the early years of the Yuan Dynasty, 40,000 or so families went out of their homes and returned home, and a large number of immigrants came in thereafter. In addition to returning families and immigrants, there are still a large number of troops there. Based on the relevant literature, the author estimates that the population of Ningxia Plain in the Yuan and Yuan Dynasties was about 60,000. Residents constitute mainly Tunjun, immigrants, good people, ethnic minorities and other residents.
