Influenced by the philosophic trend of postmodernism that subverts grand narratives, feminist writers have opened up critical reading and innovative rewriting of classic fairy tales. On the one hand, the ideological attributes of the classic fairy tales provide feminist writers with room for criticism and rewriting. On the other hand, the heresy and fairy tale tradition that departs from the canon provides them with a steady stream of inspiration and motivation. These adaptations not only subvert and deconstruct the patriarchal discourse and gender politics behind the classic fairy tales, but also rewrite the fairy tale tradition in the dialogue with the tradition of heresy and fairy tales. From the early radical confrontation in which men were regarded as enemies, to the contemporary reflection on the relationship between the sexes, the changes in the overall trend of narrative feminist fairy tales not only reflect the social and cultural context changes, but also show feminists’ new understanding of gender politics And understanding.
